Finnish firm Citrec Engineering has signed a three-year framework agreement to provide Alstom Transport with engineering services. ‘Alstom is interested in our knowledge in reaching maximum vehicle functionality in arctic conditions, as well as our experience within HVAC’, said Ralf Wallin, Business Area Manager, Vehicles at Citec.

Germany 1 has acquired AEG Power Solutions as part of the conversion of the rail and industrial power supply equipment manufacturer from a privately owned to a publicly traded company.

TÜV Rheinland InterTraffic has been approved as an independent safety assessor in the UK, and its Luxcontrol subsidiary accepted as a Notified Body.

Nortel Networks Corp announced the planned sale of a its global GSM /GSM-R business on September 30. The company believes this auction proposed for November 9 ‘will provide the best path forward for the future of the company’s GSM/GSM-R business, its customers and employees.’
