GRAW specializes in design and manufacturing of the specialized geometry measurement systems for steel industry and railway: on-line laser based rail geometry measurement systems and real-time track condition evaluation systems used in track geometry vehicles. Moreover, the company is a manufacturer of the microprocessor-based portable devices for geometry control of rails, tracks, and turnouts, as well as the rolling stock wheels.
Therefore, GRAW has experience resulting not only from requirements of the rail manufacturers, but also experiences resulting from the requirements put by the railways, track maintenance companies and companies regenerating worn tracks and rails.
The main customers for GRAW products and services are: PKP â?? Polish State Railways, Dutch and Hungarian Railways, as well as Huta Katowice and Huta Kr??lewska â?? the Polish rail manufacturers.
Currently GRAWâ??s staff is more than a dozen strong, including 2 PhD specialists, 9 engineers from the following areas: software engineering, electronic engineering, and mechanical engineering.
All GRAW products are made basing on its own documentation and software developed in house. GRAW has a well developed network of the cooperating companies, whom its outsources manufacturing of the mechanical elements. Assembly, setting to work, calibration and testing of all devices and systems are made by GRAW.
While manufacturing and delivering the laser based rail geometry control systems GRAW follows quality assurance procedures agreed with the Buyer. GRAW has manufactured 5 stationary rail geometry control systems and has implemented many microprocessor-based portable devices for rail geometry control both in the steel plants and in the railways, including 7 laser based rail head profile measurement gauges.
Digital track gauge DTG-1435 has been developed for track and turnouts geometry measurement. The DTG-1435 track gauge is much lighter compared with other known designs, has the significantly bigger measurement groove width range, which makes points alignement easier, and moreover, it is equipped with the state-of-the-art electronic system with the backlit graphical display, legible even in the direct sunlight. Software delivered with the gauge makes saving the measurement results and report generating, as well as data export to text files and spreadsheets possible. The measurement results' format is compatible with the GeoTEC database.
