Interfleet buys Die Ingenieurwerkstatt

10 June 2010

GERMANY: UK-based international rail consultancy Interfleet Technology has expanded its European operations with the acquisition of Die Ingenieurwerkstatt GmbH for an undisclosed sum.

The Wiesbaden-based firm was established in 1996 and now has more than 30 staff providing consultancy services in the areas of safety engineering, maintenance optimisation and rail asset management.

'Die Ingenieurwerkstatt has a first class reputation both in Germany and across Europe and is an excellent strategic and cultural addition to the group', said Interfleet Managing Director David Rollin. 'The acquisition represents an opportunity for Interfleet to enhance its service offering by bringing new and complementary skills and experience. It will also strengthen Interfleet's presence and reach in central Europe.'
