POLAND: Leasing firm MRCE Dispolok and operator CTL Logistics have received certification from regulatory authority UTK for the operation of four-system Eurosprinter ES64F4 locomotives in Poland.

Certification was granted on July 9 following a year-long trial on cross-border traffic to Germany. All onboard displays are now implemented in both German and Polish, and locomotive changes are no longer needed at borders.

According to manufacturer Siemens there are now 15 versions of the ES64F4 in use by 14 operators. Poland is the tenth European country to approve the type, and certification proceedings are in progress in a further countries.
