Multi-mode wagon body

15 December 2010

EUROPE: A further type of body has been developed for the Flex Freight System multi-purpose wagons which were launched last year by leasing firm Wascosa.

The 20 ft Type R swap body was developed by Wascosa in conjunction with ExTe, which specialises in transport locks for transporting timber. The profile is suitable for use across Europe, and bodies can be transferred between road and rail vehicles whether loaded or unloaded.

The Flex Freight System is based around 60 ft container wagons which can carry a range of exchangeable and stackable bodies for different traffic.
