RJ CORMAN: The Kentucky-based RJ Corman Railroad Group has finalised its acquisition of Québec-based Railpower Technologies Corp and its wholly owned US subsidiary Railpower Hybrid Technologies.

'We are pleased and honored to be able to continue the development and production of the Railpower genset locomotives for the railroad industry', said owner Rick Corman on June 18. The combination of RJ Corman Railroad Group's service orientation and the technical leadership of Railpower 'will result in genset locomotives being designed and built by a company that operates railroads.'
