TWO FURTHER members of staff joined the Railway Gazette journal team in November as part of an expansion strategy for the DVV Rail Media portfolio.

To strengthen the editorial team under Editor Chris Jackson, Robert Preston has been promoted to Deputy Editor with special responsibility for the expanding newsletter business; he remains Editor of Rail Business Intelligence. Andrew Grantham becomes News Editor & Webmaster with effect from January 1, co-ordinating news reporting for both print and online publications; he is succeeded as Industry Editor by Nick Kingsley, who joined Railway Gazette International as News Reporter in September 2006.

Marianne Ripsher who served as Assistant Advertisement Manager for Railway Gazette International from 1995 to 2000, returns as Sales Manager, reporting to Publisher & Advertisement Manager Sheena Rennie. Paul Davis is promoted to Key Account Manager with responsibility for developing the group's online business.

Linda Gruosso joins as Journal Assistant, succeeding Isabel Burton who has been promoted to Production Assistant. Franck Chardon continues to take responsibility for subscription sales activities.

Managing Director Detlev K Suchanek welcomed the appointments, which he said would strengthen the journal team ready for significant expansion of the DVV Rail Media portfolio during 2008.
