Seating in brief

10 August 2008

Grammer is to supply its IC3000 range of first class seats for use in the Gold Class cars of the Dubai metro trains, currently under construction (RG 4.08 p225). The leather-upholstered seats will feature a folding table with laptop holder. The seat contours will be trimmed in blue and turquoise, reflecting the colours of the sea.

The Fracilien trainsets being built by Bombardier will feature seats in an array of colours supplied by Compin. Each seat is 490 mm wide across the shoulders, and will be covered by a vandal-proof fabric. Paris suburban passengers are also to be provided with headrests for the first time.
