Steel mill progress

15 January 2009

UKRAINE: Steelwork is now being assembled on the site of a US$600m electric furnace plant which will make Interpipe self-sufficient in the production of high quality steel for railway wheel and pipe applications.

The Dneprosteel plant is being built by Danieli under a February 2007 contract.

Interpipe derived 71% of its US$358·4m revenues from export sales in 2007, selling wheels on foreign markets under the KLW brand.
