WC technology develops

By: 01 October 2002

Microphor has introduced a water-saving, air-assisted flush toilet for applications where water conservation is important.

Microflush models LF-810 and LF-820 require less water per flush than other designs available from Microphor. This extends the time interval between servicing, thus allowing the vehicle to be in operation longer.

A cost-effective alternative to conventional vacuum toilets, the Microflush uses air-assisted flushing to dispose of waste. The durable, stainless-steel bowl can be ordered with or without a pedestal, and meets all US legal requirements.

Accessibility is increasingly important, and TWR Rail has developed a toilet module to comply with Britain's disability discrimination legislation, exceeding the requirements of the Rail Vehicle Accessibility Regulations. The module is intended for both refurbished and new-build vehicles, and has been designed to fit into the tightest bodyshells.
