USA: Grote Industries has launched LightForm Emergency Egress Lighting Film, which uses low-profile LED lighting technology to highlight escape routes from rolling stock.  

The company said that while standard reflective and glow-in-the-dark tapes are easy to install, they may not attract the attention of passengers when most needed. ‘LightForm Emergency Egress Lighting Film is easy to install, and unlike traditional lighting fixtures, requires no lens or bezel,’ according to business development manager Steve Green. It can be installed on almost any material in almost any shape, and resists water and mechanical damage.  

LED brightness is consistent throughout the length of the product and multiple modules can be linked to minimise wiring.
