TURKEY: Ansaldo STS has won a contract to supply ETCS Level 1 signalling, telecommunications and automation systems to the Salini Costruttori/GCF/Kolin joint venture which is upgrading the line between Gebze and Köseköy as part of the Istanbul - Ankara high speed project. Completion is scheduled for 2014.

Under a separate contract, Ansaldo STS will supply ETCS Level 1 onboard equipment for the 80 electric locomotives which TCDD ordered from Hyundai Rotem in December 2010.
