The Fabryka Pojazdów Szynowych rolling stock manufacturing subsidiary of H Cegielski Poznan has been sold for 58m złoty to Polish industrial development agency ARP, which will restructure the business before selling it on to private investors.

Changzhou Railcar Propulsion Engineering R&D Centre is to market Nomad Digital's technology for condition monitoring, security and passenger services in the Chinese market. A demonstration has been held on the Wuhan metro and trials are to be undertaken in Shanghai.

Czech electrical component and pantograph supplier Lekov has been renamed Faiveley Transport Lekov, marking its integration into Faiveley Transport which purchased a 75% stake in 2002.

Transmash Holding has bought out Bombardier's 50% stake in the joint venture which was formed in 2007 to supply traction and rolling components but never became active.

Miscor Group sold its AMP-Montreal locomotive refurbishment unit to Novatech for US$1·5m in December, after deciding to dispose of its rail and construction businesses to focus on the industrial and utility sectors.

Canadian firm Stella-Jones is to acquire US wooden sleeper and creosote manufacturer Tangent Rail Corp. 'The acquisition of Tangent Rail Corp would considerably enhance our offerings to the US railroad industry, while also extending our geographical reach,' said President & CEO Brian McManus.
