HUNGARY: Polish rolling stock manufacturer Pesa Bydgoszcz signed a contract to supply the city of Szeged with nine low-floor trams on October 22, its first order for trams from outside Poland.

The firm's €16m bid beat a rival offer of €20·6m from Czech supplier Inekon. The first of the low-floor trams will be supplied within 24 months, with the rest of the fleet following within eight months after that.
