Austria: WestBahn has used market-opening rules to begin buying traction electricity from EnergieAllianz Austria.
Canada: Siscog is to supply timetable and fleet planning software to VIA.
France: A consortium of Santerne, DTI Group and Cibest is to supply passenger information systems for the Marseille metro fleet. Each train will have four LED passenger displays and two touch-screen driver displays.
India: Thales is to supply Delhi Metro Rail Corp with ticket vending machines and gates for around 100 stations
Poland: To improve train path planning, PKP PLK has awarded Rail Management Consultants and Tata Steel Rail Consultancy a 1·57m złoty contract to create a RailSys virtual model of the network in Warszawa and Mazowieckie.
