USA: The West Rail Line in Denver opened on April 26, eight months ahead of schedule. Passengers were offered free travel on the line on that day, and on the entire Regional Transportation District light rail network the following day.
The 19·5 km line runs from Auraria West to Jefferson County Government Center and adds 11 stations to the light rail network. The project forms part of RTD’s 190 km FasTracks expansion programme for light rail and commuter rail in the Denver area.
