NORWAY: Greater Oslo bus operator Unibuss placed an order for 40 electric buses from VDL Bus & Coach on May 8.

Unibuss has ordered 30 Citeas SLFA-180 Electric buses, which have a 169 kWh battery pack, to operate on routes 20, 21, 28, 34, 37 and 54. A further 10 Citeas SLF-120 Electric buses, with a 127 kWh battery pack, will run on route 74. The first bus is due to be delivered at the end of 2018 for entry into service in early 2019.

On April 12 Greater Oslo public transport authority PTA Ruter announced its intention to make the city’s public transport emission-free in 10 years.
