Bremen’s tram extensive network includes sections of segregated light rail, some constructed as part of original plans to develop a metro. An extension to Falkenberg (Niedersachsen) opened on August 1 2014 (5·5 km, 10 stops). Other extensions are in planning.
In June 2017 BSAG ordered 67 Siemens Avenio trams.
