Casablanca Transports SA

Opened 2012. Four-line tram network serving 108 stops. See Casablanca network map.

The initial Y-shaped network, comprising the current Line T1 along with the Line T2 branch to Aïn Diab, opened December 12 2012 (Line T1: 21·7 km, 35 stops; branch 7·5 km, 13 stops). When Line T2 opened on January 24 2019, it absorbed the Aïn Diab branch in the west, continuing across the south of the city to Aïn Sebaâ and Sidi Bernoussi in the east (adding 16·5 km, 20 stops); an extension to Line T1 from Facultés southwest to Lissasfa opened the same day (1·8 km, 2 stops), and Alstom supplied 50 additional LRVs.

On September 23 2024 two further routes opened totalling 26·6 km, running from the city centre to districts in the south and southeast.

RATP Dev subsidiary Casa Tram SA began a 12-year contract to operate and maintain the network on December 13 2017.
