Opened 2004; network of nine routes serving 77 stops.

The original two routes opened in December 2004 (15 km). An extension to Açelya Cd opened March 18 2014 (3·4 km, 6 stops), with reorganisation of operational routes. Extensions northwest to tram loops serving Çamlica (route 9) and Batikent (route 8) and across the south of the city from OGÜ to Çankaya (route 7) opened in August 2014.

The southeast branch from Yunusemre to Açelya was opened on March 18 2014 and extended east to Sehir Hastanesi on February 10 2019 (Line 10: 3 km, 4 stops). An extension further southeast to Sultandere and 75 Yil District opened on March 12 2021 (new Line 12 running from OGÜ: 4·9 km, 5 stops). Line 10 was extended north from Opera to Kumlubel on June 14 2021 (2·4 km, 4 stops). A new single-track link from Yildiz to Opera along Gazi Yakup Satar Cd has effectively doubled the existing single track along Hasan Polatkan Blv, and on January 6 2025 a 2·6 km link from Otogar to Opera opened with three stops, the line being served by new route 36 using both these sections (Otogar - Opera - OGÜ).
