Founded in 1950, the Union’s membership comprises Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
UIP represents over 250 wagon keepers, which collectively own more than 255 000 wagons transporting 50% of Europe’s tonne-km by rail.
