Opened 2007; two-line light rail network serving 25 stops.
The initial east-west route linking Intercambiador in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Trinidad in La Laguna was opened on June 2 2007 (12·5 km, 19 stops). Two short branches, north to La Cuesta and south to Tíncer, were added on May 30 2009 (3·6 km, 4 additional stops), being served by new Line 2 which shares two stops and a 1·4 km section of Line 1. An extension of Line 2 southwest from Tíncer to La Gallega was approved in 2016 (2·5 km, 4 stops).
