First line opened 1899; the present ‘Y’-shaped network comprises 3 routes serving 28 stops.
On October 1 2017 tram all services were suspended for network modernisation. The main 9·5 km west–east route from Wieprzyce to Dowgielewiczowej reopened on July 2 2020, with the 2·7 km northern branch from Katedra to Piaski reopened on Augist 1 2022.
The northeast line beyond Dowgielewiczowej reopened on July 22 2023 together with an extension from Szarych Szeregów to Fieldorfa-Nila (1 km, 1 stop).
