The network comprises five radial routes, with a branch serving the secondary station at Rókus. On November 29 2021 this was connected onto the MÁV-Start mainline to Hódmezövásárhely via a new 0·8 km link, together with a street-running section in Hódmezövásárhely (3·3 km, 6 stops). MÁV-Start operates the tram-train service using vehicles from Stadler running on diesel power for the 21 km section of MÁV mainline, and operating across Szeged city to the main terminus station.
