Association of German Transport Companies
VDV is the representative organisation for around 600 of Germany’s public transport and rail freight transport undertakings, established in its present form in 1991 following amalgamation of several transport associations.
It advises and supports its member companies and politicians, supports the exchange of experience and know-how between the members and prepares technical, operational, legal and economic principles. It also represents the interests of its member companies towards parliaments, authorities, industry and other institutions.
