Opened 2015; five-route modern tram network, serving 32 stops.
Construction began in September 2012; opened in December 2015. Line 1 (Wysoka Brama - Kanta) opened on December 19 2015, the branch to Dworzec Glowny (Line 2) on December 27 2015, and lastly the line to Uniwersytet Prawochenskiego (Line 3) on December 27 2015.
Work on a line southeast to Pieczewo began with award of a contract to build the line to ul Wilczyńskiego in June 2021, for planned opening in August 2023. The line opened on December 30 2023 from Skwer Wakara to Pieczewo (6 km, 13 stops) served by new route 4 to Dworzec Glowny, with route 5 to Wysoka Brama starting from January 1 2024.
Olsztyn had a metre gauge tram network between 1907 and 1965 serving the centre and north.
