Italy’s growing high speed ‘Metro d’Italia’ network

After completion of a spine of dedicated fast line almost all the way from Torino to Salerno via Milano, Bologna, Firenze, Roma and Napoli, creating what local rail advocates now refer to as the ‘Metro d’Italia’, Italy is continuing to expand its high speed network with over 180 route-km due to open by 2030.
