Almaty Tramway

Network was reduced to 2 routes by 2010, with these suspended in 2015. In October 2018 an east-west light rail route was proposed (22·7 km, 37 stops) to be built through a public-private partnership; it would have a fleet of 34 LRVs and replace a tram route.
