A line continuing from India's North Eastern Railway from Sacri Jc to Jaynagar serves Janakpur Dham. Formerly narrow gauge, it was closed in 2014-17 for conversion to broad gauge to restore through traffic. A 1 km freight-only broad gauge line from Raxaul Jc in India serves Sirsiya dry port.
