The north-south "Lenin" line opened in 1985, extended in 1991 and 1992 (now 10·5 km, 8 stations). In 1987 the first segment of the east-west "Dzerzhinsky" line opened, extended in 2000, 2005 and 2010 (now 5·4 km, 5 stations).
