West Japan Railway Co (JR West)

JR West was created in 1987 when Japanese National Railways was privatised. It serves the Kansai region around Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe, and western Honshu, including the Sanyo shinkansen, with 52 lines and a total of 1197 stations.
