Conrail Shared Assets Operations (CSAO) – CRCX

Conrail began operations in 1976, when six bankrupt railroads in the US northeast and midwest were merged and restructured with Federal funding. It was privatised in 1987, and in 1997 was acquired jointly by the other two eastern Class I railroads, CSX Transportation and Norfolk Southern.
