Unión Ferrocarriles de Cuba

First line opened 1837. The National Railways was formed in 1960 when all railways were merged and nationalised. In 1997 FdeC was restructured as Unión Ferrocarriles de Cuba, with business units for passenger and freight operations. The electrified section links Habana with Hershey and Matanzas.
