SilverRail Technologies and Expedia have announced a strategic technology partnership which will see SilverRail’s global rail ticketing platform used to provide a ‘simple, consistent search and booking experience’ covering multiple rail companies through a standard interface to be launched in 2016.
The Russian government has agreed to provide wagon builder Altaivagon with guarantees worth 1·5bn roubles. The company plans to invest in production diversification and adapting to market conditions, including the development of a range of 25 tonne axleload wagons.
