Canada: GO Transit has extended Bombardier’s fleet operations and maintenance contracts which will now run to 2023 with a value of around C$927m.

Egypt: Systra is to undertake a study for a planned modernisation of Cairo metro Line 1.

Germany: Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe has awarded Trapeze a contract to upgrade the operations control system covering its 13 tram routes by mid-2015.

Hungary: Budapest transport authority BKK is to install IVU Traffic Technologies’ IVU.fleet fleet management and IVU.realtime passenger information systems on the city’s tram network.

Poland: lskie Voivodship has awarded Arup a 1·2m złoty contract to develop a regional transport plan.

Saudi Arabia: The Public Investment Fund has awarded Fluor a 270m riyal contract to provide consultancy services for the Saudi Landbridge project. Fluor is to review engineering designs in conjunction with Parsons Brinckerhoff, and will define implementation strategies and be responsible for commissioning.
