INDIA: A 17·3 km southeastern extension of the Hyderabad metro Red Line opened on September 24, serving 16 stations.

The extension runs from Ameerpet, where interchange is provided with the Blue Line, to LB Nagar. Services on this section run every 6½ min in the peaks and 8 min off-peak. The elevated route is now 30·3 km long; the initial section was inaugurated in November 2017.
