The first of 21 electric buses that MPK Poznań ordered from Solaris in December have entered regular passenger service.

POLAND: The first of 21 electric buses that MPK Poznań ordered from Solaris in December entered regular passenger service on route 174 on November 27.

Deliveries are scheduled to be completed in February of the 15 Urbino 18 articulated vehicles and six Urbino 12 buses. The buses will all be equipped with Solaris High Power batteries, with capacity of 174 kWh and 116 kWh, respectively. The batteries will be charged using plug-in charging as well as fast charging of up to 560 kW through a roof-mounted pantograph.

The low-floor buses are equipped with an audio-visual passenger information system, air-conditioning, LED lighting and USB sockets.
