CZECH REPUBLIC: The first of 30 trams that Stadler is supplying to Ostrava entered revenue service on Route 4 on August 13.

The Tango NF2 nOVA arrived in Ostrava from Stadler’s Siedlce factory in Poland on April 23, and has undergone two months of test running on the city’s network.

In January 2017 DP Ostrava awarded Stadler a SFr45m contract to supply 30 two-section trams with options for 10 more. Deliveries of the base order are due to be completed in July 2019.

The unidirectional 100% low-floor tram has capacity for 188 passengers, including 61 seated. It is equipped with USB sockets and has provision for wi-fi.
