Transport for London has selected Taylor Woodrow to rebuild White Hart Lane station.

UK: Transport for London announced on July 12 that it had selected Taylor Woodrow for a £17·8m contract to design and undertake the rebuilding of White Hart Lane station, which is served by London Overground suburban trains and used by 1·3m passengers a year.

The rebuilding is intended to support the regeneration of the area, which includes the new Tottenham Hotspur football stadium now under construction, a museum, hotel and 585 new homes. A further 2 000 homes are planned as part of the High Road West masterplan and a further 3 000 homes in the wider North Tottenham area.

Changes will include a new ticket hall nearer the centre of the platforms on Love Lane, creating a better connection with Tottenham High Road and improving passenger flow; an additional entrance on Penshurst Road; two lifts to provide step-free access; public realm improvements benefiting pedestrians and cyclists; cycle parking; improved CCTV and wayfinding to help people continue their journeys on foot.

Work is expected to start on site this autumn for completion in spring 2019.
