FRANCE: The first of 22 trams that Alstom is supplying to operate route T9 in Paris arrived in Orly on November 22, four days after leaving Alstom’s La Rochelle factory.

Ile-de-France regional transport authority STIF awarded Alstom a contract in 2016 that includes options for up to 68 additional trams for lines T9 and T10.

The 10 km route T9 is due to open in October 2020, serving 19 stops between Porte de Choisy on Paris metro Line 7 and the centre of Orly. Keolis will operate the route for 5½ years under a contract awarded earlier this year.
