BULGARIA: Czech manufacturer CZ Loko has built two MUV 74 M-S track maintenance vehicles for use on the Sofia metro.
One vehicle is equipped with a work platform for access to the overhead electrification equipment. The other has a hydraulic arm and snow plough for use on the surface sections of the network.
Sales Director Jan Kutálek said CZ Loko sees urban transport operators as an important potential market for its products as it aims grow in EU countries.
Earlier this year the company supplied an EffiShunter 300 diesel-electric locomotive to the Warszawa metro, where it will be used for shunting at Kabaty depot and to rescue trains in the event of a power failure.
