MALAYSIA: Main contractor MRCB George Kent JV has awarded TÜV SÜD the overall independent safety assessment contract for the Light Rail Transit Line 3 metro project in the Klang Valley, which is under construction for opening in 2024.
The 37 km line from Bandar Utama to Johan Setia will have 20 stations and GoA4 full automated driverless trains.
The O-ISA contract covers the assessment of core subsystems such as the trains, signalling & train control systems, trackworks, electrification and power supplies telecoms, depots and access control and fare collection systems. It also covers assessment of works implemented throughout the various phases of the project.
