AUSTRALIA: Queensland Department of Transport & Main Roads has selected Cubic Transportation Systems for a A$371m contract to supply, operate and maintain a new ticketing and real-time passenger information system. This will support payment using bankcards, mobile phones and personal electronic devices.

‘This payment solution will bring more convenience and freedom of choice for commuters’, said Queensland Minister for Transport & Main Roads Mark Bailey. ‘We’re delighted that proven technology already used across London, Chicago and Vancouver will be further enhanced for the benefit of Queensland commuters.’
