UK: DB Cargo UK has appointed Wayne Miller as Engineering Director to lead the growth of its third-party maintenance and engineering activities.

Miller is currently Head of Service Design and take up his new role in January. He will have responsibility for the major engineering centres at Toton, Stoke and Crewe as well as the company’s maintenance outstations.

‘Wayne’s engineering background, his sales experience and broad, in-depth knowledge of how our business works, means he is ideally placed to ensure that our maintenance and engineering portfolio continues to grow’, said DB Cargo UK’s Chief Executive Andrea Rossi on December 14.

Miller said ‘DB Cargo UK already has an enviable reputation for delivering maintenance and engineering excellence to the rail sector. Over the next few years, we will be making significant additional investment in our engineering facilities which will allow us to service an even larger and more diverse client base. We already have an impressive portfolio of customers in both the rail passenger and freight sectors, however our ambition is to add to the range of products and services we provide.
