UK: Network Rail has awarded specialist company Dronecloud a five-year contract to supply enterprise-level software-as-a-service to manage its fleet of infrastructure monitoring and surveying aerial vehicles.
Dronecloud CEO Jan Domaradzki said drone operations had evolved organically in many industries, and as activities become more complex companies are keen to ensure that they are safe, efficient and comply with regulations.
‘Network Rail is the perfect partner for us’, said Domaradzki. ‘We have a shared vision of the efficiencies that well-managed drone operations can give to infrastructure projects.’
