UK: Passenger operator South Western Railway has opted to deploy Infor’s Enterprise Asset Management software as part of a project to consolidate and modernise its rolling stock maintenance processes. It will be hosted and supported by Infor partner Sapphire Systems, and is expected to go live with 200 users.

Infor said the asset management software would expedite and enhance decision-making, with defects logged via tablets and relevant technical staff then dispatched. Managers would have access to all the data in one place, enabling them to plan and allocate resources and ensuring compliance with ISO 55001.

‘Infor EAM will allow us to view everything in one place, driving greater efficiency and the agility to react and rectify defects quickly’, said Adam Carter, Head of Continuous Improvement at SWR. ‘The user-friendliness of Infor EAM, combined with Sapphire’s in-depth knowledge, has resulted in a faster roll-out, allowing us to utilise the benefits of the system much quicker.’
