UK: Grinsty acquired the Train Door Barriers business including all its products and services with the retirement of David Greenway in September. The transfer includes all the Train Door Barriers products and services.

Train Door Barriers supplies emergency door barriers which allow traincrew to open the bodyside doors for ventilation in breakdown and other emergency situations. The temporary barrier provides a deterrent against exit and a safety aid for passengers who are nearby, while allowing fresh air to enter. The company has supplied customers in the UK, Ireland, Germany, China and Japan.
Its emergency door barrier packs are now provided with a Nominated Person kit, which includes a whistle, armband and briefing sheet for the person designated to help at a doorway.
