UK: Trade show and conference company Terrapinn has announced plans to launch Rail UK, to be hosted at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham in May 2026.
In a statement shared with Rail Business UK and other stakeholders on July 15, Terrapinn’s Commercial Partnerships Director Adam Hayward said ‘we are confident that the time is right for a rail show for the UK, that provides proper networking opportunities and highlights some of the great success stories of our industry’.
Terrapinn has an extensive portfolio of conferences and exhibitions in the rail and wider transport market, including Rail Live, hosted in Spain; Asia Pacific Rail; and Africa Rail.
‘This new initiative is backed by senior figures across the UK rail and infrastructure landscape, following a series of positive meetings with key clients and stakeholders. It will feature a high-level conference alongside a solutions-focused exhibition, designed to showcase the latest in rail technology, infrastructure and innovation, with the UK market placed firmly at its core’, Hayward added.
The show will be hosted at the NEC on May 13-14 2026. The same venue previously hosted the Railtex show run for many years by Mack Brooks Exhibitions. However, the 2025 edition of the event which had been due to take place on May 13-15 this year was postponed by organiser RX Global.
