AUSTRALIA: Software and analytical tool developer Biarri Group has launched a dedicated business serving the railway industry.

Biarri has supplied asset, maintenance and resource planning and operations software to companies including Kansas City Southern, Aurizon, Pacific National, ARTC and Rio Tinto, and has worked with GE Transportation and Oliver Wyman to meet customer’s unique requirements.

‘Over the last few years we have talked to many railways about their frustration with previous approaches to planning and operational software not delivering on its promise’, said Tom Forbes, CEO of Brisbane-based Biarri Rail. ‘With our strong rail experience, mathematical background and software development platform we have proven that we can deliver value to our railway customers and bring a positive change to their planning and operations.’
