CHINA: An International Alliance of Rail Vehicle Industrial Design has been established by CSR Sifang, China Industrial Design Association, European Design Alliance, Tsinghua University and other ‘design agencies, universities and enterprises’ from more than 40 countries including Switzerland, the USA, Germany, France, Italy, Japan and Spain.
CSR Corp said the alliance was formed to ‘promote scientific and technological innovations in the field of rail vehicles, co-operate in production, learning and research for common development, provide a platform for experts, scholars and enterprises in this field to conduct theoretical research and communicate results, and achieve China’s direct integration to the latest international designs.’
The alliance plans to hold an academic conference every two years.
